At Disability Assist, we believe in the power of lived experience. Our user-led organisation is run by disabled people who are supporting other disabled people. We understand the challenges, opportunities, and aspirations of those we support because we have lived them ourselves. Now, we are looking for new Trustees to help shape our future and we would love for you to be part of our journey.
This is an exciting time for Disability Assist. As we continue to grow and develop, we want to ensure that our Board truly represents the community we serve. Your insight, knowledge and perspective as a disabled person are invaluable. We need passionate individuals who can bring their experience to the table, helping to shape strategies, drive change and make a real difference in the lives of disabled people across Kent and Medway.
You don’t need prior board experience, just a commitment to equality, a willingness to learn, and a drive to make a positive impact. We provide a full induction, training, and a welcoming environment where your voice will be heard and valued.
As a Trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Influence the direction of a leading disability charity.
Develop valuable strategic and leadership skills.
Work alongside a dedicated and passionate team.
If you want to use your experience to help create a more inclusive and empowering future, we would love to hear from you. The closing date for applications is 31st March 2025 and initial interviews will be taking place soon afterwards.
